GetNetWise


GetNetWise is an industry-sponsored organization whose purpose is to create a safe, rewarding, and enjoyable experience for children online. GetNetWise is a user-friendly, family empowering, online resource that contains aggregated and syndicated content, organized into four themes:

  • Internet Safety Guide--Resources based on age-level, risk area, and technology;
  • Tools for Families--A comprehensive guide to consumer products that allow families themselves to monitor Internet use, filter unwanted content, or control computer use;
  • How to Report Online Trouble--Information on recognizing and resolving Internet crime with links to law enforcement offices and children's advocacy groups;
  • Guide to Kids Content--Pointers and information about online content that is educational and helpful for kids.

GetNetWise is intended to be a resource for those seeking to be wise online parents, and seeks to provide help to anyone involved in raising children--parents, grandparents, educators, caregivers--everyone concerned with the routine responsibilities of raising children in the digital age.
