WATCHING OUT FOR ANXIETY
Anxiety disorders and sleep problems have also been found to be linked. Anxiety can aggravate and exacerbate difficulty falling asleep, particularly in teens with a delayed sleep phase. If your teen has significant, regular trouble initiating sleep, it’s important to consider the possibility of anxiety and to have her evaluated and treated, if necessary.

The NGSS offer a detailed description of the key scientific ideas and practices that all students should learn by the time they graduate from high school.
