Office of Research and Minority Health holds four meetings, one for each of the four racial and ethnic groups identified in U.S. Office of Management and Budget Directive No. 15: African American, Hispanic American, Native American, and Asian and Pacific Islanders.

1997

NCI Director's Consumer Liaison Group is formed.

1998

En Accion Training Manual, a community-centered health communications manual drawn from successful experiences of the 5-year research and demonstration project of the National Hispanic Leadership Initiative on Cancer, is published.
