FOREWORD The Committee on Chemia try and Physics is pleased to Present herewith the Ig46_1947 issue (Volume X) of t,Digest of Literature on DielectricaU (formerly called '~Co retributions of the Chemist to Insulation Research" I. A special note of apore_ ciation is recorded for Dr. Or] an M. Arnold Silo has been a regular contributor since the inception of the Digest in 1956, but McGee near duties preserve him from continuing in this capacity. The time and efforts of contributors to this current issue are also keenly appreciated by the Committee, and, we feel certain, by the readers. Because of the increasingly wide distribution of this Digest, a.na because of certain changes in policy concerning it, we have included at the end of this volume a reviews of the history and activities of the Committee on Chemistry and Physics (formerly the Committee on Chemistry) which has been responsible for the Preparation of the Digest.
