Dr. Lam has conducted numerous toxicologic assessments of payload and utility chemicals used in space shuttles and space stations, providing consultations to NASA flight surgeons, safety engineers, and payload customers on toxicologic issues, including toxicities of potential combustion products of nonmetallic materials used in the spacecraft.
