The magnitude of the effects of improved transportation level of service stemming from new projects on the amount of travel demand can be estimated through the incorporation of level- of- service variables in all steps of the demand modeling process. The use of logsum variables from subsequent model steps provides a way to do this while maintaining consistency among the level- of service data for all model components.
