Dale Bauman's primary research areas include regulation of nutrient use in bovine lactation, growth, and pregnancy and bovine mammary gland biology. Bauman and his colleagues crystallized the concept of homeorhesis, the process of long-term regulation of nutrient use during a particular physiological state such as lactation.
