His professional interests and expertise are in the fields of hydrology and water resource systems engineering. Recent research work has involved the statistical analysis of hydrologic droughts, the modeling of ground-water systems, the analysis of flash floods in ungaged watersheds, the optimization of energy use in urban water districts, and the hydrologic analysis of an alpine watershed under acid deposition stress.
